Common questions
What does Parata cost?
Filling in all chapters and the on-screen preview are free. Parata Plus (one-time purchase) permanently unlocks PDF export, printing and the encrypted archive export. Parata Cloud is an optional subscription for encrypted cloud backup on EU servers and sharing folders with others.
Is my data stored anywhere?
By default no: all content stays local and encrypted on your device, without any account. Only if you switch on the optional Parata Cloud is your folder backed up encrypted on our EU servers — and that is your choice.
Can I share my folder with someone?
Sharing and editing folders together is part of Parata Cloud (optional subscription). Without the cloud your folder stays only on your device; you can then share the exported PDF.
Does Parata store passwords or PINs?
No, deliberately not. Parata only records WHERE something is kept (for example “passwords in the password manager”) — never the credentials themselves.
Does Parata work without internet?
Yes. Capturing and managing entries locally works fully offline, with no sign-up. Only the App Store purchase and — if you use it — the optional Parata Cloud need a connection.
Is Parata legal advice?
No. Parata uses the correct terms and links to official sources, but gives no legal recommendations and creates no forms.
Which platforms is Parata available on?
Parata is available for iPhone and iPad (iOS), for Mac (macOS) and for Android. The versions launch largely in parallel.
